When police arrived at the scene, they found Glover and his mother with various injuries.

And on Saturday night things got out of hand when Krista Glover was arrested by the St Johns County Sheriff's Department and charged with domestic violence and resisting arrest. While Lucas failed to qualify for the 2018 Players Championship, which was the catalyst for the alleged domestic violence between him and Krista, he does have a trio of wins under his belt. But a 54-hole cut was also needed and with a 78 on Saturday, Glover missed that. Someone in the house called 911 to report a disturbance around 8:30 p.m. Police said Glover's mother tried to intervene between the two and was hit in the chest.

US Open victor Lucas Glover's wife has been arrested for attacking him over his poor play at The Players Championship. Deputies also noted lacerations on the arms of both Lucas and his mother, Hershey Glover, who also had blood on her clothes.

Looks like Lucas made the cut this time.

The police report also said that Krista Glover attempted to flee the scene after her arrest and that she kicked a door of a police vehicle so hard it caused the door to "visibly separate from the cell of the door frame". Krista Glover then resisted arrest and refused to be seated in the patrol vehicle, kicking the door and managing to flee momentarily before being detained.

Each charge carries a sentence of up to a year in jail.

Once Glover was in the auto, the report says she "began screaming while forcefully kicking the rear driver's side door ... causing the door to visibly separate from the cell of the door frame".

"On May 12, my wife and mother were involved in an argument to which the police were called", Lucas said in a statement to USA TODAY Sports.

"Regrettably, although Krista was charged, we are comfortable that the judicial system is able to address what actually happened", the statement said in part. It took both lawmen to re-handcuff her. 'You will lose your job.

Lucas Glover asked fans to respect his family's privacy "as we work through this situation". "Wait till I talk with the judge, you will be f--ing fired over this". The PGA Tour said it supported Glover in a statement to GOLF.com.

A former Clemson University golf star, Lucas Glover has been on the PGA tour since 2001.
