"She went through a little rough patch but she's doing great".

Two White House journalists said they were present when the first lady was spotted on May 30, and reported at the time that she looked well.

In April, she represented the Trumps at former first lady Barbara Bush's funeral, rolled out her "Be Best" awareness campaign to help children, and orchestrated an elaborate state dinner for the Macrons of France. 'The people of our country love you, so thank you, honey'. She spent five days in the hospital, but when she failed to resurface after that, people began to wonder what the hell was going on.

Melania donned a black dress while walking into the East Room with President Trump.

The outing was her first public appearance in nearly a month following a kidney operation. Mrs. Trump's Communications Director, Stephanie Grisham, said the procedure was a success and without complication. She hasn't been seen for 24 days, and public speculation was growing. They never reported the sighting because it would hurt the sick narrative that she was living in a different part of the world, was really ill, or whatever.

"In America, we expect to have a first lady who is active and involved", Brower said. On Wednesday, she accompanied the president to a meeting on hurricane readiness at the Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters with the president. On Monday night, the first lady made her first White House appearance when she attended a private event to honor Gold Star families. "And she's doing great". "She sat most of the reception but arrived with [the president] and left with him", Greene said.
