The fixture will be Unai Emery's first competitive match as Gunners manager.

Tottenham will play their first designated home game at Wembley in matchweek two when Fulham are the visitors.

The Bluebirds travel to Bournemouth, the Whites welcome London rivals Crystal Palace and Nuno's runaway Championship winners face Everton at Molineux.

The final round of Premier League fixtures, scheduled for May 12, will see Manchester City away to Brighton, while Manchester United and Liverpool are at home to Cardiff and Wolves respectively.

It is unclear if their state-of-the-art £850m new stadium will be available in time for the start of the new season. They play in the best domestic competition in the world, the Premier League.

The new man in charge at The Emirates will see his side host Manchester City on the opening weekend of the season, before a tricky trip to Chelsea FC in their next game.

The Premier League fixtures for the 2018-19 season were published on Thursday (Thursday night NZ Time) and the Arsenal-Man City game was the standout on the opening weekend.

Dates for all 380 matches will be revealed, with the league campaign running from 11 August to 19 May.

Manchester United and Spurs are away four times before group games, while Manchester City are on the road twice before European fixtures. That includes trips to Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

"The fixture we all look forward to is the first home game, and this season that will be against another risky side in Wolverhampton Wanderers, who enjoyed a fantastic season in the Championship to reach the Premier League", added Puel.

England face Tunisia in their opening game on Monday, with Panama and star-studded Belgium their other opponents in Group G.
