Brazil and Neymar try to bounce back from World Cup draw

Tite was creative with his substitutions and with them the team gained speed and offensive presence compared to the opening period, putting Costa Rica under heavy pressure.

An off-colour Brazil needed dramatic late goals by Philippe Coutinho and Neymar to earn their first win of the World Cup and go to the top of Group E with four points. Neymar limped out of a training session on Tuesday after appearing to hurt his right ankle. Iceland, meanwhile, is soaring after a 1-1 draw with mighty Argentina in its World Cup debut.

The Brazilian football federation said on Thursday that Neymar is just fine and posted photos and a video of him practicing on Wednesday with the rest of the squad. Costa Rica performed well but fell agonisingly short against one of the tournament favourites.

He played the full 90 minutes of Brazil's 1-1 draw with Switzerland, a game in which he became the most fouled player at the World Cup in the last 20 years, but missed training on Monday.

A 1-0 victory over Costa Rica has Serbia headed into its game against Switzerland eying a spot in the Round of 16.

We'll get to that in a moment.

'Not everyone knows what I've been through to get here, everyone can talk about it, but not everyone can do it!

"It was either the symptom of troubling instability or it was a return of Neymar's narcissism that Neymar had managed to control so well for almost the whole match".

"When you win a game like this, as the lights are going down, this automatically gives you peace of mind for the next game because we played a great match today".
