Prime Day 2018 is officially underway for shoppers, hours after the United Kingdom deals already started circulating.

Below are the top picks from Prime Day deals you can find.

Amazon said sales in the first 10 hours of Prime Day grew at a faster pace than the same period of the event in 2017. As Telsey Advisory Group's Joseph Feldman notes, the general boost in online traffic "should spill over to some competitors and boost sales on Prime Day", although he admits that "profitability may prove challenging, despite a well-planned counter-promotion".

Prime Day also usually helps boost the number of Prime memberships.

Amazon is facing another backlash, with sales that lasted less than two minutes, server crashes and questionable sale marketing practises, with some retailers now calling for an ACCC investigation into the U.S. retailers online sales practises. But it's not too bad because right now the Cube is down to $89.99, which is the same price Amazon offered to Prime members willing to pre-order it back in June.

On Tuesday, workers at six Amazon warehouses in Germany walked out, joining those already taking industrial action in Spain and Poland.

Amazon acknowledged the technical glitches in a tweet Monday at 1:59 p.m. PT.

"The message is clear: while the online giant gets rich, it's saving money on the health of its workers", Stefanie Nutzenberger, union representative, said in a release.

Amazon added that in the first hour of Prime Day in the US, "customers have ordered more items compared to the first hour previous year".

As expected, Amazon products are dominating the list, which is based on traffic to Tom's Guide (with more than 900,000 visitors per day) and our own analysis.

Shoppers found an outlet in venting on social media.

Last year, the e-commerce juggernaut's holiday, which first debuted in 2015, reportedly generated $2.4 billion in sales, according to Coresight Research.
