But the player delayed his return to the pre-season training, according to reports.

Maurizio Sarri has revealed he is not happy with Willian and will seek crunch talks with the Chelsea star following his training no-show.

The Blues boss was speaking after his side lost to Arsenal on penalties in the International Champions Cup last night.

The Brazilian is linked with a move to Manchester United, Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Afterwards, Sarri confirmed that Hudson Odoi, who made only four substitute appearances last season, would be part of his first-team squad this season.

We can never read too much into pre-season friendlies but it's a bonus to catch a glimpse of how preparations are going with the new season just around the corner.

Chelsea have offered Hudson-Odoi a new five-year contract to keep away any predators and he will not be loaned out this season, as so many other of the club's young players have.

That form managed to earn him a place in Belgium's World Cup squad, and also seems to have convined Sarri that the 24 year-old needs to be kept at the "Blues".

And now Mourinho has addressed Sarri's appointment for the first time, ahead of Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge in October.

Chelsea will take on Manchester City on Sunday 5th in the Community Shield before the English Premier League officially starts the following weekend on Friday 10th.

"I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision - if they want to let me go".
