Plan Is For Tom Brady To Play Vs. Eagles

Has a team ever enjoyed winning a Super Bowl as much as the Philadelphia Eagles have?

Tom Brady said there's still work to be done, but the New England Patriot quarterback felt good after his first performance of the preseason.

Foles was escorted by the training staff to a medical tent on the sideline for examination and was diagnosed with the strained shoulder. "I know how hard it is to win that last game, and they did it and congrats to them", Brady added. "We've been competitive here", coach Bill Belichick said at halftime on the team's television broadcast on WBZ-TV, as the Patriots led 27-7 at the break.

The hit knocked Foles out of the game.

"I'm going to wait until I speak to my doctors", Pederson said.

Brady actually put up gaudier statistics than Foles in February, throwing for a Super Bowl-record 505 yards, with three touchdowns and no interceptions, but he lost a costly fumble on a late-game sack and took criticism afterward for leaving the field without shaking his counterpart's hand.

Tom Brady said earlier this week that he expects to play Thursday night against the Eagles.

Hoyer completed five of 13 passes for 32 yards and an 11-yard touchdown pass to Cordarrelle Patterson.

On-field demonstrations began previous year with former NFL player Colin Kaepernick, who gained notoriety after he knelt during the national anthem to protest the treatment of people of color in the U.S. New England's other first-round pick, No. 31 overall selection running back Sony Michel, has not played because of a procedure on his knee. Defensive end Michael Bennett chose to sit in the locker room during the anthem.

Safety Malcolm Jenkins and cornerback De'Vante Bausby hung back until the song ended, NBC Sports Philadelphia reported.

A picture tweeted by the station showed Jenkins and Bausby bowing their heads as they looked out toward the field.

The pair have been among the most vocal National Football League players protesting racial inequality during the pre-game anthem.
