Chelsea boss Sarri plans to give up smoking

Eden Hazard came off the bench to set up a late winning goal by Marcos Alonso as Chelsea beat Arsenal 3-2 in a frenetic London derby on Saturday for its second straight win in the Premier League.

Arsenal clawed their way back into the game in the 37th minute when Henrikh Mkhitaryan drilled in a low shot that Kepa Arrizabalaga - the world's most expensive goalkeeper making his home debut - will have been disappointed to have let in.

But still, it is important to make a positive start at a new job and Sarri has bought himself crucial time by guiding his new team to six points from six in their first two games.

"We are not title challengers, not in this moment", Mirror quoted Sarri as saying at the post-match conference. We did very well in the last 25 minutes today, but I think that we have to work, we have to improve in the defensive parts, and I am not talking about only the defenders.

"Three points is an important target for us, we did very well for 75 minutes but inside that, 15 minutes were awful", he stated.

"In the second half we played with two midfielders, 19 and 21 years old".

Linked with Real Madrid throughout the close-season, Hazard has been told he is not for sale.Asked about Sarri's impact in his first weeks at Stamford Bridge, Hazard said he admires the Italian's commitment and attacking style and hopes to feature even more prominently soon. So I think we have to work and we need to improve.

However, despite looking characteristically flimsy at the back, Arsenal were a threat up front, frequently getting around the back of the Chelsea backline.

"We are very happy because we deserved the victory. The squad is phenomenal with many great players; that's why it wasn't so hard to adapt quick". I think in this way of football, if you don't cover the distances, you are in trouble.

Chelsea, as per their club policy, would seek to secure him to a new long-term contract if he does end up leaving on another loan but Loftus-Cheek, whose current £60,000-a-week deal expires in 2021, is expected to resist committing his future further to the club given the doubts around his involvement.
