Gullit believes the Blues will struggle without the Belgium global.

New Chelsea FC manager Maurizio Sarri started with Hazard in the west London side's 2-1 win over Newcastle United at St James' Park.

Chelsea under new Coach Sarri Maurizio has undergone tremendous changes and it is visible in the way most of Chelsea players are now playing. "He is ready for the new challenge and the new manager at Chelsea".

"I was happy to see him back on the pitch against Arsenal and he showed he was involved in the big moments in the match".

"We know how tough it is to even qualify even for the Champions League", he acknowledged.

Gullit added on the 27-year-old: "There were rumours that Real Madrid wanted Eden Hazard in the summer".

Some fast-paced passing play on the edge of the box allowed Marcos Alonso to creep into the six-yard box where he was brought down by Fabian Schär, who had seemingly won the ball.

A move to Turkey is not thought to be attractive to Cahill at this time and unless a much better option emerges, the central defender is prepared to try to fight his way back into Sarri's plans until January when he can reassess his situation.

Finally, against Newcastle United on Sunday, having been kicked from pillar to post trying to find a way through the Magpies' dogged defence, Hazard scored Chelsea's opening goal from the penalty spot.

Chelsea will face Bournemouth in their next Premier League clash as they aim to register their fourth victory this season.

The time to do this is now, not only would it put an end to the constant speculation surrounding Hazard, but it would also give Chelsea and Sarri time to plan ahead without the type of disruptive, morale-sapping brinkmanship that Courtois brought to bear on the club.
