Kevin Spacey escapes charges over sexual assault allegation

Neither Kevin Spacey nor Steven Seagal will face charges for alleged sexual assaults that took place about 25 years ago. The District Attorney's Office confirmed last month it was reviewing another case presented by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the actor is also under investigation in London.

A man alleged the former House Of Cards actor assaulted him in West Hollywood in October 1992.

But in the allegations against Anderson, prosecutors said the alleged victim "declined to be interviewed".

Allegations against Spacey began to surface after actor Anthony Rapp publicly accused Spacey of sexually assaulting him when he was 14 years old.

As previously reported, Spacey was sacked from House of Cards last November following multiple allegations of sexual misconduct - several of which were made by past and present crew members.

Spacey's publicist in November said the two-time Oscar victor, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by more than a dozen men and boys, was "taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment".

Seagal - a Russian citizen who was named in August as the Kremlin's newest special envoy to the United States - has faced more than half a dozen allegations of sexual assault, including rape, over several decades. "The allegations that have been made against Mr. Seagal are false and have no substantive material support", he said in the statement.

Seagal has denied the accusations against him.

It was made clear that Spacey wouldn't be coming back to House of Cards but now we know exactly how that's going to look in the final season: dead and buried. "Anthony unequivocally disputes the claim".

Mr Spacey claimed to have no memory of the events but publicly apologised.

He was dropped previous year from the Netflix television series House of Cards and erased from the film All the Money in the World.
