Keegan Bradley holds off Justin Rose in playoff to win BMW Championship

Justin Rose plays his shot from the second tee during the final round of the BMW Championship golf tournament at Aronimink GC.

"We will do everything we can to play tomorrow but we'll just see what Mother Nature gives us", PGA competitions vice president Carlton "Slugger" White said.

Rory McIlroy currently sits on 16-under par at the event, now just one shot behind leader Justin Rose after the Northern Irishman produced another scintillating round of 63 on Saturday to go with his opening 62. It was a bittersweet moment for Rose, though, as he squandered a winning position on the 18th before losing a sudden-death play-off to Keegan Bradley.

There was a silver lining for Rose, however, who moved to the top of the world rankings for the first time in his career after his top-two finish, replacing Dustin Johnson at the summit. A little more than 12 months later, he will be returning to East Lake in Atlanta for the Tour Championship - which concludes five days before the start of the Ryder Cup, which he will also be competing in after earning a captain's pick from Jim Furyk.

By this stage Bradley was making his charge at 18-under for the tournament, while playing partner Rose was stretching away at the same mark and Xander Schauffele had moved one ahead.

Jason Day carded an even-par 70 to share 24th place at 11-under, while Marc Leishman's 68 left him in a tie for 41st at six-under.

Still to be determined was whether another shot is hit-or enough of them.

"We've got kind of a mess out there", he said.

The forecast was for light, scattered showers Monday morning, with thunderstorms developing in the afternoon.

All this means the Tour Championship, featuring the top 30 points earners on tour this year, will have some unexpected faces - and will be missing some familiar faces. The last group was to tee off at 8:50 a.m.

The scheduled final round at the BMW Championship was washed out on Sunday in soggy Pennsylvania. He'd like another crack at Rose.

Woods took away any suspense about getting back to the Tour Championship for the first time since 2013.

No one needs to play Monday as much as Spieth.

Welcome to the official YouTube channel of the PGA TOUR.

This is Bradley's first PGA tour victory in six years.

Spieth did not add a new event, and he has only played in 23 tournaments this season.

The BMW featured the top 70 players, and it was a very competitive event through all four rounds, despite Sunday's play having to be rescheduled to Monday due to weather.
