Gordon arrives in New England after a long, tumultuous career in Cleveland that included just 11 games played over the last five seasons as he dealt with off-field issues, substance abuse problems and National Football League suspensions.

During an interview with Jim Gray on Westwood One Radio this week, the Patriots quarterback said he wants to practice with Gordon before he puts any expectations on his newest teammate. He was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday with the hamstring issue that was reportedly part of the reason he was let go by Cleveland.

For the Patriots, taking the chance on Gordon makes a lot of sense for them. He'll come into Week 3's game with 11 career tackles and two career picks against them over the course of four appearances, three of which were starts. I think it's possible he would be that guy in a little different package. "That's not fair", Brady said Monday night, via

If Josh Gordon can stay on the right path, FS1's Skip Bayless thinks he has a potential Hall Of Fame career ahead of him.

"I know he was a monster then, and he's still a monster now", Hightower said of Gordon on Wednesday. Frankly the Dolphins biggest problem has always been Rob Gronkowski so Gordon won't disrupt that need too much as the Dolphins still need to take care of Gronkowski.

"Work hard and do your job", he said.

"Oh, that is one thing. from what I've seen before, definitely his size with his speed is great".

Obviously if Gordon can get on the field quickly for the Patriots he could be a big target and focal point for the Tom Brady led offense.

Gordon's status will be one to watch throughout the week.

"Unfortunately the last time I saw him", Patricia said. "I'm not going to talk about it until it's fully done then maybe I'll talk about it'".
