Manchester United still in for hard season despite good form Jose Mourinho

Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw by promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on Saturday, leaving them eight points adrift of Premier League leaders Liverpool.

"Because Martial played 90 minutes [against Young Boys] and Sanchez played zero", Mourinho said according to Goal. Mourinho refused to single out the Chilean worldwide, insisting that all of his players could improve on their early season performances.

"He made headlines all over the world with the impact of his success in both situations, with Porto and Chelsea", Nuno said of Mourinho.

Will Man United continue their resurgence with another win or will Wolves claim their first major scalp of the season?

The Red Devils crammed a lot into the start of the 2018-19 campaign, with an opening-day victory against Leicester overshadowed by back-to-back defeats to Brighton and Tottenham.

Mourinho believes any post-Russia hangover is mental rather than physical, with World Cup victor Paul Pogba inspiring United to victory in their Champions League opener at Young Boys.

"But I think he showed to those who didn't know him very well that he's not a player to be here just for rotation; he's a player to be here for competition, for positions. He's a very good player".

"I think good results, good performances, they make miracles and bad results and bad performances, they make you look more exhausted, more upset, more ugly, more everything", Mourinho said.

Macari has been left impressed with the quality of football the team from the Black Country have displayed this season and admits that they deserved more than just a 1-0 win over Burnley last weekend.

"I think they got good young players and got also good experienced, stable players".
