The president was also called out for his treatment of another female reporter at the same news conference.

On Monday, we posted about President Donald Trump taking a swipe at ABC's Cecilia Vega with the headline: "Did Trump Insult ABC News Reporter Cecilia Vega and Tell Her She "Never" Thinks?"

After opening the presser up to questions, Trump called on Cecilia Vega of ABC News, who he chose to insult before she even got her question out.

Trump: "She's shocked that I picked her".

I know you're not thanking.

It appeared Trump may have misunderstood her, and replied, "That's OK, I know you're not thinking, you never do".

Trump would not answer Vega's question at first, and also refused a question from another female reporter, Kaitlin Collins of CNN, on the subject.

Vega responded with "I'm sorry?" before calmly asking him about reports that the White House is limiting the scope of the Federal Bureau of Investigation inquiry into Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

He then responded to a question on trade, and she tried once again to bring up the Kavanaugh issue.

Vega asked the President about the ongoing FBI investigation into allegations Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, however, all Trump wanted to do was discuss trade. Trump said. "One of my only good traits: I don't drink".

At another point in the press conference, the President broadly attacked the media, saying: "I think the press has treated me unbelievably unfairly".

The contentious exchange occurred Monday in a media conference in the Rose Garden where the president was touting the agreement he had made with Canada to replace and amend the NAFTA trade agreement. He has not responded to the criticism in this case. The updated transcript reads, "I know you're not thinking, you never do". He proceeded to talk over her and cut her off before ultimately calling on another reporter while she was trying to get her question in.

He quickly interrupted her and said "Don't do that".

"I wouldn't mind that at all", Trump said.

"How much of a sexist dick can you possibly be?"
