"I never saw Brett black out or not be able to remember the prior evening's events, nor did I ever see Brett act aggressive, hostile or in a sexually aggressive manner to women", wrote one of them, Dan Murphy, a former suitemate of Kavanaugh. His voice dripping with derision, he then imitated her being questioned at the hearing, followed by her responses about what she could not recall about the alleged attack. "How did you get home?" he continued.

"I have deep reservations about Judge Kavanaugh's nomination to this lifetime position and, as I stated, we have been unable to get all the information necessary regarding this nomination, despite my best efforts. 'I don't remember, '" Trump said, mocking Ford's voice.

Ford initially sent a letter to Rep. Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) in early July, explaining her allegation that Kavanaugh attempted to molest her when they were both teenagers some 36 years ago. I don't even know him. I don't know. Where's the house? "I really believe that he was very strong on the fact that he drank a lot and so I don't know where there'd be big discrepancy", Trump said. "So now Trump is laughing at her with his "people" and Dr. Ford said one of the most traumatizing memories for her was..." I don't know but I had one beer!

"I think it's very unfair to bring up things like this", Trump said. You could be someone that was ideal your whole life, and somebody else could accuse you of something. "A man's life is shattered". Referring to those who have championed Blasey's case, he added: "They destroy people". The confirmation process to appoint Kavanaugh has been delayed over allegations that he engaged in sexual misconduct decades ago. Kavanaugh has called her accusations a "joke".

Writing to the FBI, attorneys for Professor Christine Blasey Ford said it was "inconceivable" that the agency could conduct a thorough investigation without interviewing her. Is it any wonder that she was terrified to come forward, and that other sexual assault survivors are as well? Bromwich tweeted. "She is a remarkable profile in courage". So far, no Democrat has announced support for Kavanaugh and no Republican has declared opposition to him.

Trump's rendition was met with cheers in Southaven, Mississippi.

US President Donald Trump has told reporters that it is a "difficult" and "scary" time for young men in the US.

The FBI will pass its findings to the White House, which will give them to the Senate.

"It's a very scary time for young men in America", Trump told reporters. Have you had difficulty the last 20 years? The president was welcomed warmly by the association leadership and drew applause from the audience.

He said he doesn't want to use the previous name, NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement, which he contends cost American jobs and railed against during his 2016 presidential campaign.

His critics have expressed concern that he lied about his drinking habits.

Officials said Mr. Trump is seeking to boost Hyde-Smith as close as possible to the 50 percent threshold and lend momentum for a possible runoff.

McCaskill attempted to stay out of the fray when asked about Kavanaugh by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch over the weekend, dismissing assertions from other Democrats that the judge didn't show the temperament needed for a spot on the nation's top court when he responded to the accusations against him during testimony last week. "I think he reacted in a very emotional way and I can understand why you could have high emotion at that moment".

"The time for endless delay and obstruction has come to a close", he said.

The Times said the Federal Bureau of Investigation already had interviewed four witnesses the White House and Senate Republicans approved for questioning - Kavanaugh's friends Mark Judge and P.J. Smith; Ford's friend Leland Keyser; and Deborah Ramirez, who also has accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct.
