I don't want to mention Al Franken's name. Man, he was gone so fast.

President Donald Trump arrives on Air Force One at Minneapolis- Saint Paul International Airport for a fundraiser, Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Lt. Gov. Tina Smith was appointed by Minnesota's governor to succeed Franken.

"It was like, 'Oh he did something.' 'Oh, oh, oh, I resign. And he was replaced by someone nobody ever heard of".

The poll comes as GOP leaders and lawmakers advance Kavanaugh's confirmation process; potentially holding a full vote on the Supreme Court nominee as early as Saturday morning. Franken was accused of grabbing a woman during a USO performance.

At Thursday's rally, Trump called Franken's replacement Smith 'a far left Democrat, who nobody knows who the hell she is'.

Trump took a moment during the rally to mock former Democratic Sen.

Trump is hoping to boost Republicans chances in November by making a stop in southern Minnesota where races across the state are tightening.

Trump says Kavanaugh is an "incredible" intellect, judge and talent and will defend the constitution as written.

The President also stumped for Republican Congressional candidates Jason Lewis and Jim Hagedorn.

In remarks to the crowd, Lewis turned to Trump and said: 'Minnesota loves your appointments to the Supreme Court, and that includes Brett Kavanaugh'. "Thank you so much for coming, everybody".
