The Alabama sophomore quarterback - who won the starting job over Jalen Hurts this year, but they are sharing the snaps - is the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy this year, and it didn't take long for him to remind everyone why on the road against Arkansas on Saturday.

He threw one incompletion on his lone second-half drive before spending the rest of the Crimson Tide's blowout 65-31 win on the sidelines.

"I don't think that you really beat the other team when you give up 31 points, like we did today, at least on the defensive perspective", Saban said, via ESPN. We do have two guys that have some experience, but we don't have a lot of depth right now. That's us as coaches.

"We're obviously very thin and need some guys to step up and develop", Saban said.

Midway through the season, do we just have to face the reality that Alabama is far and away better than every other team?

Alabama entered the game ranked No. 1 and did nothing to relinquish that position.

Tagovailoa connected with wide receiver Jerry Jeudy twice on passes of 42 and 60 yards for his last two scores of the afternoon. "We had a lot of explosive plays, a lot of big plays". They're running the ball for over 200 yards a game and they're one of the leading passing teams in the country.

Tagovailoa finished the game with 334 yards and four touchdowns.

On Alabama's next possession, Tagovailoa found Smith again, who ran for 47 yards before fumbling. But Smith's teammate, Henry Ruggs III, was there to pick it up at the 12 and took it in for the touchdown.

"Our message for this football team moving forward is we're going to come back in here (Sunday) and we're going to hit reset", Morris said.

Per Sunday's odds at the Westgate Superbook in Las Vegas, Alabama leads the list of contenders at -225.
