6 extremely surreal moments from Kanye West's meeting with President Trump

Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted told CNBC earlier this week that West has been a "fantastic ambassador" for the company, though he admitted he was unaware that the rapper meant to meet with Trump for lunch. But, when the National Football League great left the White House he told throngs of media that couldn't be further from the truth.

"Kanye West is coming to the White House to have lunch with President Trump and he will also meet with Jared Kushner", Sanders declares in a statement.

Kardashian West, who was a vocal supporter of the Clinton campaign and a critic of Trump's, has since softened her tone.

People that were at the Apple store said Kanye told them he made a new "Make America Great Again" hat for Trump that drops the "again" part.

Kanye also said that he told Trump he was going to create a factory in Chicago called Larry's - a homage to Gangster Disciples leader, Larry Hoover - where he'll hire ex-inmates to make his "Make America Great" hat as well as other items.

But he said, "this hat, it gives me power". "He's a smart cookie".

West credited Mr Trump with preventing a war with North Korea and encouraged him to swap his usual Air Force One for a hydrogen-powered plane. "You made a Superman - that's my favorite superhero".

What could help Chicago, West said, was the opening up of industries and tax breaks.

Well, it finally happened - Kanye West's White House meeting with President Donald Trump took place in the Oval Office on Thursday, and it seems like their conversation was just as odd as you might guess.

West's mother and father separated when he was young, so he didn't have a lot of "male energy" in the home growing up, he said Thursday. "And there are many other people like that".

So West's visit, accompanied by NFL football great Jim Brown, may be the best political advertising Trump can get.

Apparently, when West was done speaking, Trump said, "That was pretty impressive". "It was something about when I put this hat on, it made me feel like Superman".

This past summer, Kanye West confirmed his bipolar disorder diagnosis on the cover of his 'Ye album.

"I love everyone, right", he said. "I just channeled it".

West himself has suggested he might be open to wading into politics, including a run for president in 2020.

"Let's stop worrying about the future, all we have is today", West added as he commented on his own presidential ambitions.
