I like Schnitzel - Sancho happy in Germany after England call-up

England return to Nations League action on Friday and there is one player I am really excited about seeing perform for Gareth Southgate's side -Jadon Sancho. "One of my biggest regrets from my career was not going overseas".

Croatia are completing a UEFA sanction to play two games behind closed doors after a swastika symbol was carved into the pitch during a Euro 2016 qualifier against Italy in June 2015.

"But if you're ready to play overseas and you believe in yourself, why not?"

City will have the first refusal on the player should an official bid be lodged, with a host of clubs now being linked with a move for the player.

"He's only been there for a short period of time, but he's benefited hugely already". They bought him for only 7 million pounds.

Dortmund are leading the Bundesliga and are in with a good chance of throwing a spanner in Bayern Munich's monopoly over the title. The former Manchester City prodigy has attracted a lot of attention with his excellent form this season and a move away from the Bundesliga could be on the horizon in the future. Such an environment would test Rashford, as it has tested Sancho. The Englishman joined the Bundesliga club in August 2017 but has enjoyed astounding success under new coach Lucien Favre, whose wisdom and experience has helped the 18-year-old flourish in the Bundesliga this season.

Southgate's appreciation of Mount's talent became clear when he asked the youngster to train with his squad for four days before they jetted off to Russian Federation for the World Cup.

"Of course, it's still daunting, but when you get down on the field and play football that's all you want to do, you just want to play, it doesn't matter who it's for".

"He can be top, top level because he's 19 and plays with ability and quality".

"The growth in England at the moment is insane", added Sancho.

"Sometimes the best way to grow is to come out of your comfort zone".

The Fiver: sign up and get our daily football email. I don't feel the pressure at all.

Said Sancho: "I was a bit surprised, to be fair, because obviously I'm so young so I have still got a lot to learn". Yes there were some really bad decisions in the game but I have seen some really bad decisions from referees in men's games, too.

As for England's display, Fran Kirby was once again excellent and proved why she has deservedly received the Ballon d'Or nomination. When I was a young kid, I always dreamed of obviously playing for my country. In typical humble fashion she laughed it off, so I am delighted to see it has now become a reality.
