Nobody likes injured players.

Kevin De Bruyne could be out for up to six weeks with knee ligament damage, Manchester City have announced.

He continued: "I think today Kevin is back". Unfortunately he's injured, but fortunately it's not surgery. That is three points like Southampton is three points.

According to a UK Sun report, the Belgium midfielder, who has already been sidelined with for six weeks this term, will see out another four weeks of football action.

John Stones played the whole match against Fulham and could keep his place at centre-back, although Nicolas Otamendi is another option if Guardiola wants to keep the Englishman fresh for next week's Champions League meeting with Shakhtar Donetsk.

"This kind of injury is unlucky". I'm more concerned about muscular [injuries].

"We are a stronger team with Kevin than without him, but we have to live without him and we have to be there when he comes back".

The midfielder will travel to Barcelona for treatment at Dr Ramon Cugat's specialist clinic.

Although, in all honesty the Citizens have looked a class above their rivals so far this season even without their mercurial midfielder De Bruyne.

"He has been checked in with the doctor". "Today he was so sad and the next day he'll be strong again". Hopefully, after the global break, there'll be two or three more games and after that, he'll be back.

Both of Man City's wins against Southampton in the Premier League last season came courtesy of 90th minute winning strikes - Raheem Sterling in the home game and Gabriel Jesus away.
