That same day, Melanie Brown ("Scary Spice"), Melanie Chisholm ("Sporty Spice"), Emma Bunton ("Baby Spice"), and Geri Halliwell ("Ginger Spice) released sweet video confirming their 2019 United Kingdom tour dates, in which the gals playfully spar before busting out into a attractive rendition of their 1996 mega hit 'Wannabe'".

Victoria Beckham was absent from the clip.

Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Geri Horner will take to the stage for the 12 date stadium tour in 2019, but Victoria won't be taking part.

They will then go on to perform at the Edinburgh BT Murrayfield Stadium on June 8, the Bristol Ashton Gate Stadium on June 10 and London's Wembley Stadium on June 15. British singer Jess Glynne will be the opening act for the entire tour.

The Spice Girls have announced their first tour in more than a decade.

Beckham will not take part in the shows to focus on her fashion label.

"It's just the four of us that are fully confirmed, but you know, Vic might join us at some point", she told Britain's ITV. "I hope so. It would be a shame if she didn't".

Scary was joined by a friend dressed as David Beckham, who held a sign saying: "Please, please, please do it for the Spice Girls fans".

Asked what Victoria made of the costume, Mel B said she thought she would find it amusing. After all, she has said time and again that she doesn't want to go on tour.

But "Posh Spice" Victoria Beckham will not be heading out the tour. "Love you all!", said Emma Bunton.

In July, Brown confirmed they would reunite this year, but said that one member of the group had been holding up proceedings.

Rumours circulated about what they might do, with a tour and new material being just some of the suggestions.

The group split in 1998 after becoming one of the UK's biggest girl groups ever. The reunion tour has been in the works since early 2018.

The reunion has been a long time coming; the Spice Girls first teased a reunion in 2016 for the 20th anniversary of their first hit, "Wannabe".

"It's time to spice things up all over again!"

Asked if they'll go outside of the United Kingdom, she said: "We are".
