‘Merseyside derby is something different’ - Liverpool’s Salah anticipates second Everton meeting

Jurgen Klopp has said he apologised to Everton boss Marco Silva for excessively celebrating Liverpool's stoppage time victor in the Merseyside derby on Sunday.

Gomes is starting to make his influence felt in Everton's team now he is fully fit after injury and the Portugal global - on loan from Barcelona - was the standout player for the visitors with his vision and technique in midfield. We have always had a bit of class as a football club, their manager at the end, showed us all that he & his club know fuck all of the word "class". Playing a Saints side bereft of confidence, United were once again only stirred into action once they had fallen behind, and produced another largely negative display in a 2-2 draw against a team that, before kick-off, looked there for the taking.

If Liverpool goes on to win the English league title for the first time since 1990, the team might just look back on those final, dramatic seconds against Everton as a pivotal moment in the season. I'm not sure what the FA will do in this situation.

Klopp's joy was in contrast with Everton's misery after their atrocious Merseyside derby record was extended by Origi's last-gasp goal.

"We had our moments and had brilliant chances".

City have only dropped four points in 14 games already this season and they will drop more between now and May, but giving them a four-point advantage in the first week of December would leave the chasing pack with virtually no margin for error over the second half of the season.

"What I told Jordan must stay between us", he said in his post-match press conference. "To be honest, I didn't see so I don't know what he did and how he did it". Klopp has had three years & shit loads of money to put them in contention of the top honours, we've only just started, he's won the same as Silva has. We are devastated for ourselves and the fans. Most expected Unai Emery to face the same challenges at Arsenal, but since the season began with back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea, Emery has done a hugely impressive job of injecting energy and belief into an Arsenal side who had grown stale. It's not something you can learn and train and get better from.

The Gunners have now moved into fourth place with 30 points and a better goals difference than their neighbours.

"Not often, it happens from time to time but not very often", he added. If we keep playing like that and keep enjoying our football then we will get a win soon.

"Very intense game and obviously a much nicer finish for us".
