Rivaldo: I would like see Madrid's Isco playing for Barcelona

Cristiano Ronaldo has urged long-time rival Lionel Messi to "accept the challenge" and follow him to Italy.

"I've played in England, Spain, Italy and Portugal, while he's still in Spain". For him, life is a challenge.

"I'd like it if he came to Italy one day".

Ronaldo's relationship with Messi has sometimes appeared odd as the pair turned the annual Ballon d'Or into a personal head-to-head, sharing out every title since 2008 until the pair were pipped by Luka Modric last week.

Isco now has a €700 million (£630m/$795m) release clause that was inserted into his current contract that he signed in 2017 and ties him to the club until 2022 - a deal which substantially improved his salary after reported interest of rivals Barcelona and multiple Premier League teams. Cristiano Ronaldo then further said "He is a fantastic player, a good guy but I do not miss anything here". The fans have the right to whistle when they are not happy with someone, they have whistled me too.

Ronaldo moved to Serie A champions Juventus in July for 100 million euros ($113.76 million) after spending nine trophy-laden seasons at Real Madrid.

Solari said he had no preference in terms of potentially winning LaLiga or the Champions League, stressing he would like both. Also at Madrid they are humble, but here I feel that sense more.

Despite needing a result, Real gave a lacklustre display and conceded two quick-fire goals at the end of the first half before Arnor Sigurdsson scored a third after the restart to secure a historic win.

"The most unpleasant task of the coach is to choose who has to play, who goes to the bench and who does not have to dress".

"I had the feeling that he was claiming for a corner, or a foul", he said.

Juventus, meanwhile, have also been mooted as a potentially interested party, while Premier League clubs will surely be staying abreast of the situation. "I knew the atmosphere in the stadium".

The Los Blancos players were not only booed at full time, but a section of the Bernabeu was heard to be hurling abuse at Isco after an incident on the pitch, following which they continued every time he touched the ball. The past has passed, now I want to win for Juventus, I have to defend these colours and the rest does not count.

His release clause was raised to €700m when he last signed a contract extension with Madrid, but you'd suspect that Madrid will let him go for a lot less.
