Fekir was close to joining Liverpool in the summer after a £53 million fee was agreed with Lyon.

According to Marca, Real have been told that there is an opportunity to sign Fekir for the right price and the European champions have made a decision to assess the qualities of the playmaker.

Chelsea and Liverpool have always been linked with a move to sign Fekir, while Barcelona were also said to be interested in a deal. Fekir though, has forgotten the botched move, helping Lyon on the field with the same vigour as before. Chelsea have been looking to bring the Frenchman in.

Following an astounding campaign last season that saw him play a hand in 25 goals in 30 league games, Fekir has failed to replicate his performance this time around, scoring only three goals in 11 matches.

Amongst a number of potential option Lyon playmaker, Nabil fekir is one of the option Stamford bridge club have shortlisted for the next month.

Would you like to see Fekir at Real in the future?

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is keen to add more attacking reinforcements as the Blues hope to keep up with Liverpool and Manchester City at the business end of the table.

Real Madrid, on the other hand, have been doing well under Santiago Solari.

Chelsea look more desperate to add to their squad, though, and could move in quickly for Fekir.

Real Madrid's interest in the player has been reignited after Fekir's impressive performances in the Champions League.
