The streamer rolled out a special New Years' Eve-themed announcement video detailing that the long-awaited third season of the sci-fi series will be available to stream on July 4.

Earlier today, the streaming giant revealed a very cryptic and weird teaser trailer of Stranger Things season three. Both mediums don't give too many details on the upcoming season, leaving fans to wonder what's exactly in store for Hawkins, Indiana in 1985.

Fans who were quick on the PAUSE button noted that certain words in the code were highlighted, and the message read, "When blue and yellow meet in the west".

Netflix dropped a poster for the new season on Twitter captioned: "One summer can change everything".

By the time "Stranger Things 3" begins streaming, it will have been nearly two years since fans were last treated to new episodes, with the most recent run streaming from October 2017. We're not done fighting the monsters from the Upside Down, and the new teaser trailer makes that very clear. The almost four-minute-long clip takes viewers back to New Years' Eve 1985, specifically Dick Clark's iconic New Year's Rockin' Eve broadcast.

It's a good thing you will probably already be off for the Fourth of July. I think it's going to be a fantastic season.

We'll be sure to let you know when we find out more information about the new season.
