The 18-year-old is the subject of a bid north of £30m from Bayern, despite having just three substitute appearances to his name in the Premier League. The manager's said that he wants him to stay, and there's a position there. I don't want a very important player as Cesc unhappy. I'm very happy because he's improved in the defensive phase in a very important way in the last month.

In only his sixth senior start for Chelsea, Hudson-Odoi was named Man of the Match, after providing both assists for Alvaro Morata's two goals.

It's been widely speculated that although Bayern Munich have been scouting Hudson-Odoi for some time, their interest in the England Under-19 worldwide largely stems from the success that Jadon Sancho has had at Borussia Dortmund.

Maurizio Sarri wants a new midfielder for Chelsea after advising Cesc Fabregas to leave the club for the good of his career.

Chelsea started with Callum Hudson-Odoi for their Carabao Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley tonight - despite the player being the subject of intense transfer speculation.

"He is ready (but) I can play with only two wingers".

Monaco certainly appear front-runners to sign Spain worldwide Fabregas, who joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2014.

He added: "We need to approach the match in another way, because we lost the match in the first 15 minutes".

Chelsea are a club often criticised for their approach to young players, and bringing through new talent.

Sarri also told Chelsea fans to focus on supporting their team instead of directing chants at Spurs fans in Tuesday's tie.
