The South Korean company has sent press release to confirm that it will be holding an unveil event in India to announce the Galaxy M series smartphones on January 28.

Further, these Galaxy M series smartphones will be featuring dual cameras on the rear alongside a fingerprint scanner for authentication.

India will be the first country to launch the new series smartphones, the company said in a statement.

The new Samsung Galaxy M phones have always been rumored to be the first notched devices from the South Korean tech giant.

Warsi also revealed that these new smartphones will feature big batteries, as well as support for fast charging, features that are created to appeal to the country's tech smart and savvy millennial consumers. We expect the rumoured Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 to be the first pair of phones to launch as part of the new series. Samsung's past offerings in India have proved to be underpowered, boring, and poorly priced, but based on what we've seen so far, the Galaxy M could be its best chance yet at turning things around.

It is widely known by now that the Galaxy M line is an affordable series that will merge the Galaxy J and Galaxy On series of the past.

As for the rumoured specifications, the Galaxy M20 will house a 6.4-inch IPS panel on the front and it will be backed by a 5000mAh battery.

The above images taken from the user manual of the Galaxy M20 has been shared by a Russian tech website.

Speaking of its photographic features, the leak has it that the Galaxy M20 will come fitted with an 8MP selfie camera, a 13-megapixel primary and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor with support for both autofocus and 4x digital zoom. It's an interesting decision and one that should work in the M20's favor, as no other phone in the budget space comes with an ultra-wide camera. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo.

The new M series will include three devices to begin with.
