It had been previously reported that John Cena suffered an injury a couple of weeks go on an episode of Raw, leaving his status for the 2019 Royal Rumble match up in the air.

MS Dhoni has unexpectedlly been a part of the WWE conversation after the Cricket World Cup praised him using one of WWE Universal Champions Brock Lesnar's catchphrases.

The WWE's Royal Rumble, the first of the "big four" pay-per-views, is this Sunday and fans should tune in if they want to see how the "Road to WrestleMania" begins. He had the potential to become the marquee superstar in the WWE but an unfortunate injury ruined everything for him. It was nearly after three years that he was competing in a title match at a PPV event.

If "The Philly Special" was Philadelphia's sporting zenith for this decade, then this maddening edition of the Royal Rumble is perhaps the nadir (partially because nobody remembers Battleground 2017). Brock Lesnar was out next making his intimidating presence felt.

He injured his ribs in this process allowing Finn Balor to attack further. The respective winners of the men and women's Rumble matches will go on to perform in respective championship matches in their division. Finn continued attacking the midribs followed by a flying move over the top rope.

It's not clear at this point in time if Angle will be used tonight, but it's rumored that he's being considered for a spot in the Royal Rumble.

"Believe or not, I've been envisioning this match since the day I came back from injury", said Balor.

In the end, Finn Balor hit the Coup de Grace on Lesnar and that was nearly enough.
