However, not all Chelsea fans have had enough of Sarri yet as some are keen for owner Roman Abramovich to show a little patience - which hasn't always been one of his greatest virtues.

Chelsea manager Maurizo Sarri says his side's heaviest league defeat for 23 years was "my fault" after the 4-0 defeat at Bournemouth.

SARRI: MAYBE I CAN'T MOTIVATE PLAYERS Maurizio Sarri again suggested he is unable to get the best out of his Chelsea squad after suffering their joint-worst Premier League defeat at Bournemouth.

Sarri kept his players in the dressing room for more than 40 minutes following the loss.

In an alarming remark moments later, Sarri said he was frustrated because he "didn't see the sign of my work".

There were echoes in Sarri's comment of something Jose Mourinho said a few days after he was sacked by Chelsea in December 2015.

The visibly dismayed Italian asked his under-performing stars if he was the reason why their form has declined alarmingly in recent weeks before taking the unusual decision to travel home alone following the hugely disappointing 4-0 loss at Bournemouth that triggered the impromptu post-match meeting.

Antonio Conte, Sarri's predecessor, also publicly questioned his players in his second season at Stamford Bridge.

'I think a club like PSG are looking for a lot of players, they have a lot of leads, I'm not the only one. It was Chelsea's worst defeat in all competitions in 17 years. It is unacceptable for Chelsea and we have to find the solutions'.

The Blues saw Arsenal draw level on points by winning on Tuesday, while fellow top four rivals Manchester United were held to a draw and sit two points further back.

At the bottom of the table Huddersfield are now 11 points adrift of safety following a 0-1 home defeat to Everton, the Terriers now trade at an nearly unbackable [1.02] in the Relegation market, while Cardiff's defeat at Arsenal means they remain the second most likely team to go down according to the layers, currently trading at [1.36].
