Nigeria’s Vice President survives as his helicopter crash lands

The Vice-President's Spokesman Laolu Akande said he was continuing his engagements in Kogi state.

TUKO.co.ke understands this was the second time the VP narrowly survived a helicopter crash. In June past year, his helicopter crash landed shortly after take-off in Gwagwalada where he attended graduation ceremony of 40 senior officers of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

The Vice President was in the college for the graduation ceremony of the Senior Division Course1/2018 participants.

"We pray for the safety of the Vice President and that all his take-offs will culminate in an equal number of safe landings", Daramola said.


"God has kept us safe and alive, delivered us from death so we can do more for our people and country", he said.

The former minister however reacting to the report said via Twitter that, the events surrounding the crash that nearly claimed the life of the vice president have proven that there's more to the crash that meets the eye. The VP, according to a statement issued by his office, was on a tour of the state as part of his Next Level engagements. "I am happy to note, however, that all is well with you and your delegation".

Also, the former Governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose thanked God for saving the life of the Vice-President.
