Super Bowl Odds 2019: Patriots Favorite to Beat Rams

The 2019 Super Bowl is coming up on Sunday (February 3) in Atlanta, Georgia between the Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots.

That's exactly why we're going to sit down and breakdown some of the biggest reasons that these two teams are playing in Super Bowl LIII. They're keeping Tom Brady upright and opening lanes for a versatile running game. Surely, that's something the National Football League would rather avoid given the controversy surrounding the officiating in these playoffs, including a blatant missed call in the NFC Championship Game to send the Rams to the Super Bowl. The Patriots' first three triumphs, in Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII and XXXIX were all by a three-point margin. If the Patriots beat the Rams tomorrow, they'll be the first team to win the Super Bowl the year after losing it since those Dolphins, 46 years ago. Last year, New England was on the receiving end of a 41-33 loss against the Eagles, while 12 months earlier they beat Atlanta 34-28 in overtime.

Even rarer is to lose the Super Bowl one year and then win it the next. The Patriots held the Kansas City Chiefs' No. 1-ranked offense to just 290 net yards, and the Rams held the New Orleans Saints' No. 8-ranked offense to the exact same amount.
