Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Marcus Rashford played on through a dead leg before producing Manchester United's winning goal at Leicester City, which his manager described as a "great finish".

Solskjaer added: "If I go back to Molde, I will do my best for them but it depends when I go back".

Manchester United could temporarily climb into the top four of the Premier League table when they take on relegation-threatened Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday. 'Paul is feeling free because Nemanja and me and the centre-backs are all the time controlling the opponent's attack, even when we have the ball.

The England global has nine Premier League goals this season and scored in five of his last six games in the competition.

"Both owners wished me all the best because they knew this is something I dreamed about". We put our heads on the line, we put our bodies on the line.

"When I rang the owner and said United had called and that he always knew that this had been my dream, he said: 'Go over, enjoy yourself - and please don't come back, '" Solskjaer told British media ahead of Sunday's match.

"But you're away with three points, which is fantastic, a great reaction after last week's disappointment with the loss of two points and the performance against Burnley".

It will be down to executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and the board to decide who replaces Jose Mourinho, but Herrera said Solskjaer had won over the dressing room.

After the win over Leicester, Rashford said: "I don't think anyone grows up wanting to be just a striker anymore, the game has changed".

Manchester United continue their unbeaten run under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after seeing past Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Rashford blasted home his sixth goal since Solskjaer took charge after taking an exquisite touch to control Pogba's lofted pass and United held out to move above Arsenal into fifth and within two points of fourth-placed Chelsea.
