Jurgen Klopp sends upbeat message to Liverpool FC fans about title race

Klopp said he had not needed to listen to any of the outside criticism which came Liverpool's way over the last few days to know a reaction was needed, but a reaction was what he got.

"We are very self-critical", the Liverpool manager said at a news conference.

On Andre Schurrle's substitution, Ranieri explained himself by saying: "I know the fans were not happy but I had two players with flu in the week, including Andre Schurrle".

"We have done that, we have had two tough games in a week and the important thing is that we did not lose those games". You can not come through with passing a little bit around, you have to go through.
