PSG's Cavani injured ahead of Man United game

Edinson Cavani may miss the first leg of Paris St-Germain's Champions League last-16 tie with Manchester United.

The Champions League last-16 tie is so deliciously hard to call that Blanc, a former United defender and PSG coach, looks nearly physically pained when pushed to pick a victor.

'If we win at Old Trafford and we don't concede, then I think we would be favourites for the second leg. "We don't have another Edi like we don't have another Neymar", said PSG coach Thomas Tuchel. In any case, we must wait. These are quality players for decisive matches.

'The Champions League is a dream for any footballer, ' he added.

"We have lots of Plan Bs". We are no longer looking at Plan B, but Plan D!

The Portuguese boss is notoriously known for his defensive football but it appears Solskjaer's method of playing on the front foot has left Manchester United's defenders less exposed. My feeling is that it will be very hard for him to feature in Manchester.

It's unclear if he will be able to play, but at this point it doesn't seem overly likely.

While Tuchel needs Verratti against a United midfield featuring the in-form Paul Pogba, the 58 minutes he played may not be enough to get his rhythm back in time to face a revitalized United.

"Marco Verratti wants to play but he only played 60 minutes once", he said. Meunier has suffered concussion and will be examined again at the end of this week before he can return to action. He clashed heads with Bordeaux's Francois Kamano when they contested a header on Saturday.

European hopefuls Strasbourg lost 2-1 at home to Angers on Saturday, while Amiens beat Caen 1-0 to climb above Monaco and out of the relegation zone.
