LeBron James Has Quit On The Lakers

With just over 20 games to go in the National Basketball Association regular season, the Los Angeles Lakers are struggling to get themselves into a playoff spot.

Celtics great Paul Pierce suggested the Lakers star was still injured and the franchise shouldn't even risk him for this season, considering even if they do make the playoffs it will be a short stay.

After a promising start to their new era, the Lakers have tailed off dramatically since an injured James limped out of a Christmas Day upset of the mighty Golden State Warriors.

Fast forward to the 2018-19 season, and James is in a different conference, wearing the iconic Los Angeles Lakers' purple and gold and in almost the same situation. "He's getting older, he has to do too much for them to win". He left the Orlando Magic for the Lakers and the Cavs for the Boston Celtics as a free agent.

The only problem is James might be guilty of letting himself get distracted off the court.

"LeBron James has overcome lesser roster", he added.

Following another loss to a sub-.500 team Monday evening in Memphis, James continued to express his opinions. Players such as Kyle Kuzma, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, Ivica Zubac, and several draft picks.

On Monday, an anonymous league executive told reporters that LeBron has killed the team chemistry in LA.

The loss prompted James to call out his teammates for "allowing distractions to affect the way you play".

The perception that the Lakers' pursuit of Davis was going ahead with James' blessing was pounced upon by rival fans.

"Why am I gonna put more wear and tear on LeBron?"

James was overwhelmingly supportive of the Lakers on Wednesday, constantly reiterating that he believes in the team, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

"Age, attrition or injury, something is not right". A quote from James about distractions bothering the team circulated following the game, making it sound like James was blaming the team's young players who were involved in trade rumors.

The Lakers face a brutal run-in which includes games against Boston, Denver, Toronto and Milwaukee.
