"If there are weaknesses in our efforts, all work done in the last five years will be ruined", Modi told BJP workers across the country through video conferencing. "The Balakot Operation was India's Anti-Terror preemptive strike to defend its Sovereignty", he said in a series of tweet.

Yeddyurappa said the wind was "increasingly blowing in favour of the BJP" and the air strikes have led to a "pro-Modi wave" in the country.

My statement is being reported out of context.

Currently, BJP holds 16 Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka, Congress 10 and JD (S) 2. "Don't let one man use it for political mileage". "I heard this morning [Wednesday] that our forces have shot down a Pakistani aircraft".

Yeddyurappa, who is the chief of the BJP unit in Karnataka, on February 27 said the voters of the state, in large numbers, are apparently waiting for their turn to elect BJP nominees and re-elect Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister. These remarks of the prime minister were later tweeted by the ruling BJP.

This statement of Yeddyurappa has drawn the wrath of many in the state. Is winning elections becoming the criteria for BJP & not the security of India.

Amid Pakistan-India tensions as the world has been abuzz with predictions that the two nuclear nations could go to war at an all-time high, many countries have tried try to de-escalate the situation.

What are the courageous soldiers of India supposed to make out of Yeddyurappa's statement? The tears of the soldiers' families have not dried up and already [there are] calculations on the number of seats! All Indians are sad over the death of soldiers in Pukwama suicide bomb attack and they are now praying for the release of Indian Air Force Pilot Abhinandan who is captured by Pakistan army. "To me, the Nation comes first and then the party", he said in a series of tweets. The government also demanded that Pakistan return the IAF pilot immediately.
