Donald Trump Treats North Dakota State Football To Fast Food Feast

The Bison visit is reminiscent of when Trump hosted the Clemson Tigers in January following that team's NCAA Division One National Championship win. He said he personally paid for that meal because much of the staff in the White House residence had been furloughed by a government shutdown.

Trump, clearly unperturbed by the media's coverage of the Clemson visit, opted to bring out fast food again Monday for the NDSU players, who recently won the Football Championship Subdivision title.

President Donald Trump noted Monday that he could have offered North Dakota State chef-prepared food, but he went with the fast food instead.

"We sold it as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that we're taking", Entz said before the trip.

The grand mahogany table of the White House State Dining Room was set with white roses, fine china, silver platters stacked with Big Macs and pouches of fried chicken sandwiches, and bowls of extra sauce.

When asked what inspired the menu choice President Trump responded "I would think that's their favorite food".

Quarterback Easton Stick threw five touchdown passes, including two to Darrius Shepherd, who was named Most Outstanding Player with five catches and 125 yards. While they didn't expect there to be any food, Trump made sure the players were treated to some burgers and fries.

"Somebody better draft him". They also told the reporter that the President did not eat with them.

The team arrives on Capitol Hill for our luncheon and a Capitol tour.
