Kelly was taken into custody at a Chicago courthouse and will be transferred to the county jail, Page Six reported.

Supporters are working to get Kelly, 52, out of jail by next Wednesday, publicist Darrell Johnson told reporters at the Richard J. Daley Center.

Detroit police say they are aware of an allegation made by a woman who said she had sex with singer R. Kelly at a Detroit area hotel in 2001 when she was 13-years-old. She did not take the stand. Kelly could have gotten 15 years in prison. The witness turned the tape over to authorities and identified the girl, who repeatedly states her age on the footage, according to court documents.

According to TMZ, Kelly actually owes his ex-wife, Drea Kelly, almost $200K in child support, and has until today at 10 AM Central time to pay a minimum of $161,633K or he could be headed back to Cook County Jail.

On Wednesday, CBS This Morning broadcast the first parts of the first interview Kelly has given since the indictment.

To avoid being held in contempt of court, a judge ordered Kelly to pay $161,663 by Wednesday. Kelly called his accusers liars and alleged that people are after him for his money. It said he had engaged in sexual, mental and physical abuse of girls and women. He said Kelly did not have the whole amount because he has not been able to work. 'I have been assassinated'. "I was doing my show.he brought her and asked a friend of mine to put her on the stage with R. Kelly, make sure she's on the stage". This is not me!' It's real. And I know guys - like, I've known guys all my life that have five or six women, okay?

The singer believes social media is to blame for creating the allegations against him.

"They are still talking about you with underage girls". He was tried in that case and acquitted of child pornography charges in 2008. "He can't book shows he can't do anything", Johnson said.

R. Kelly spent a few days behind bars last month after he was hit with 10 felonies for allegedly molesting three teenagers and an adult over the past 20 years.

Gayle King sat down with Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary, two women who've been called R. Kelly's live-in girlfriends, and one of them accused their parents of creating lies for money.

The young woman also said she stopped speaking to her parents because they've been causing "problems in her life" by saying Kelly is keeping her hostage.

Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary's talk with King was teased on Wednesday morning, with the clip showing the ladies visibly distraught while being questioned about their relationship with Kelly. During their Today appearance, the parents told Megyn that, unbeknownst to them, R. Kelly and their daughter were allegedly in contact and she later dropped out of college.
