"The affected users are able to access Gmail, but are seeing error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behavior".

Good luck with your Gmail, Google Drive and Bendigo Bank login efforts, and may the services be restored ASAP.

Google itself has confirmed the details with nearly identical messages with the same timestamp at the Gmail outage page and the Google Drive outage page, where we see Google note at 1.53pm AEDT that "We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail".

"We're investigating reports of an issue with Gmail", the message read. This story will be updated as more information comes in.

"We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience and continued support".

In a statement, Google too has acknowledged the issue.

As of 1pm, the issues were still continuing for some users.

The site also logged 530 reports on Google's search engine, with a few more from Google Play and YouTube.

This includes Gmail and Drive.

Outage Report has taken almost 500 reports of email sending issues, emails being down and email reading issues in the past 20 minutes alone. Drive: "Upload and download of files", said the company in the latest update posted at 10.14 am.

So far, the United States, Japan, New Zealand, Brazil, Philippines, Indonesia and 54 other countries have reported issues with Gmail. "Message could not be sent".

Hours later, it also said that users would experience issues accessing or attaching files in various Google products as well as accessing and saving draft emails and sending emails. "Check your network and try again".
