Manchester United could face UCL fixture change

Liverpool will take on Porto in the next round of the Champions League in the most favourable draw for the English sides. "I don't think you'll get many Manchester United fans or players who will say otherwise to be honest".

"I'm coming back to my second home".

Not all the memories are bad for Man United, however.

But in the last 16 the club were handed a draw at Bayern Munich, the 2nd highest ranked side in Europe at the time, and the second leg away.

Should United progress to the semi-final, they will face either Liverpool or Porto, with first leg taking place at Old Trafford.

England's Manchester United scripted an inspirational comeback after a two-goal deficit from the first leg while their derby rivals Manchester City ran a rout agist their opponents defeating Schalke by 10-2 on aggregate. Cristiano Ronaldo hit a hat-trick at the Allianz Stadium and will be on the hunt to win his fifth Champions League trophy in the last six years.

Liverpool will play Porto in the other quarter-final. True, they've just won 5-0 away in Europe, but let's be honest, this Premier League tie will be far more hard than Thursday's trip to Kiev. We know City won't sacrifice one league for the other. "I hope this time we have better luck".

Liverpool, who lost in last year's final to Real Madrid, will host Porto in the first leg on April 9.

And Juventus' meeting with Ajax will be a rematch of the 1996 Champions League final at Rome's Stadio OIimpico, a match that the Italians won via a penalty shootout.

Gareth Bale's Real Madrid future is up in the air again after the return of Zindine Zidane to the managerial hotseat. The previous stage witnessed everything a football enthusiast expects from the competition and now it only gets bigger and tougher. "The boss [Sir Alex] is a massive influence on him, like he is with me".

The winners of Tottenham v Man City will take on the winners of Ajax v Juventus, while the winners of Man United v Barcelona will play the winners of Liverpool v Barcelona.

The objective for all is the same: reach the Champions League final in Madrid on 1st June at Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.
