Europa League draw: Arsenal in nightmare quarter-final

Napoli have confirmed trio Lorenzo Insigne, Vlad Chiriches and Amadou Diawara will be out for the next three weeks with injury - with all potentially missing the Europa League quarter final first leg against Arsenal. Arsenal, however, face an extremely challenging tie against Napoli.

The Gunners defeated Rennes 3-0 in the second leg at the Emirates on Thursday, with goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ainsley Maitland-Niles, while Napoli held off any potential comeback from Red Bull Salzburg with an early away goal to help them to a 4-3 aggregate win, despite losing 3-1 on the night.

However, having played the full ninety minutes on Thursday night, the Chelsea academy graduate is set to drop out of the lineup, making way for Ross Barkley, who will be returning to Goodison Park for the first time after leaving Everton for Chelsea in January a year ago.

The Premier League side will now await Friday's draw to see who they will face in the quarterfinals, with a spot in the Champions League on offer for the victor of the second-tier European continental tournament.

Benfica or Frankfurt will first host Slavia Prague or Chelsea in the second semi.

Portugal takes on Germany as Benfica are drawn with Eintracht Frankfurt for the third quarter-final.

It means Arsenal and Chelsea will be kept apart until the final should they advance and sees Blues manager Maurizio Sarri also avoiding his former side Napoli until that stage.
