If a MI player wins Saturday's $625 million jackpot, it would be the largest Powerball jackpot ever won in the state. Lawson's jackpot holds the record for the largest Lottery prize ever won in MI.

But be warned: The odds of winning are 1 in roughly 292,000,000.

A customer buys Powerball tickets at Kavanagh Liquors in San Lorenzo, California, Jan. 13, 2016. On Aug. 15, 2012, Donald Lawson, of Lapeer, won a $337 million Powerball jackpot. The cash option is about $30.2 million. About $91.3 million of that would go to federal taxes.

A jackpot victor needs to match numbers on all five white balls and the red Powerball.

Sign your ticket and check it as soon as possible to avoid missing out on any prize you may have won.

Unclaimed Powerball tickets may be entered into the New York Lottery Player's Club within 60 days of purchase for a second chance to win cash, points or prizes.

Players pick six numbers from two separate pools of numbers - five different numbers from 1 to 70 and one number from 1 to 25 - or select Easy Pick. You can get a hundred bucks by matching either four white balls or three white balls and the Powerball, and if you match four white balls plus the Powerball you'd get $50,000.

· There were 251,760 tickets sold that won at least $4 in the drawing. You'll get this if you match one white ball and the Powerball OR if you just match the Powerball.

Mega Millions is played in 44 states, plus the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands.
