UCF's Fall: 'I won't allow' Zion to dunk on me

The key matchup, and an incredibly fun one at that will be UCF's Tacko Fall against Duke's freshman superstar in Zion Williamson. There is not much to separate between the two teams seeded 9th and 8th.

Fall also blocked Williamson about eight minutes into the final period, although there appeared to be a foul on the play.

The mighty Bison did not present much resistance for Williamson and the Blue Devils, but Fall and the Knights may be a different story. The last time UCF made the field in 2005, they were members of the Atlantic Sun Conference under former coach, Kirk Speraw.

Players to watch include VCU's Marcus Evans, who hyperextended his knee during the tilt against URI but is expected to play Friday, and UCF's B.J. Taylor, who leads the Knights with 16 points per game. "We're definitely winning, we're making winning plays and just to see, you know, my brother out there doing his thing, doing great, making a highlight, I mean, I gotta get excited".

The win moves UCF on to the round of 32, where they will have the hard task of facing the overall number one seed in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in the Duke Blue Devils.

The UCF Knights went 23-8 in the regular season and beat two ranked opponents toward the end of their conference slate (Houston and Cincinnati), showing they at least have the potential to surprise.

The son of head coach Johnny Dawkins finished with 32 points, three rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

UCF started slow, very slow, as the Knights went almost the first six minutes of the game without scoring a point. Barrett added a three-point play and Williamson threw a one-handed bounce pass to a streaking Jones for an easy layup as Duke led 44-36 at the break. Once they fell behind, their inability to hit their shots tonight became glaring, and that's when UCF was able to pounce.

With Fall inside, Williamson went to the perimeter, hitting three 3-pointers after entering with just 18 on the season.

With the Knights clogging the lane, Zion Williamson was unable to get in rhythm with Fall on the floor and did not score in the paint during the first 11 minutes.

Duke survived and it will advance to the Sweet 16, and that's all you can ask of a team in the NCAA Tournament.
