Man City cruise back to top

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Sergio Aguero suffered a knock during his side's 2-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

Gaurdiola said: "Seven games left for the Premier League, and it's easy: we have to win every game to be champions".

"He says he felt something, but hopefully he's not injured", said Guardiola after Saturday's match.

The game took place as the first fixture of the weekend; and on a warm sunny afternoon on the Thames, City took full advantage against a very poor Fulham side.

City will face Tottenham in the Champions League quarter-finals and Brighton in the FA Cup's last four, with Guardiola relishing the clogged schedule and the pressure.

And now with just a couple of games to go, Liverpool are still fighting tooth and nail in order to end their barren run in the league but Man City always seem to have the answers to the hard question.

"This season, the team has been very focused after global breaks, we're very happy to come back fit, nearly the entire squad is available and we are ready for hopefully the next two months to try and win some titles".

"I think they will have to win all seven of their remaining games - and even that might not be enough".

Rico tipped over a Kevin De Bruyne strike and Raheem Sterling curled one wide as City, dominant in the London sunshine, threatened to go two clear before 10 minutes had been played. After the game they told me. "For precaution he decided not to continue, hopefully it's nothing serious".

Sergio AGUERO scored in Manchester City's 2-0 win against Fulham.

'We have a tough, tough opponent.

"We are realistic, the main focus in the last six games is to keep pushing and end the season on a positive in a disappointing campaign", he added. "Against Cardiff, we will be with our people, and good memories of Bernard [Silva]".

Next up is another game against relegation-threatened opposition, with Cardiff going to City on Thursday.

Bernardo Silva stroked home City's opener before laying on Aguero's goal, with the visitors in total control inside half an hour.

"The way we start to play, they show me they want to try".

"It's really important, but he is still a little bit far away from his best condition", said Guardiola, of Fernandinho.
