Update On Brock Lesnar’s Future With WWE

One potential obstacle standing in the way of Brock Lesnar returning to the UFC has been cleared after he dropped the WWE Universal championship at WrestleMania 35 on Sunday night.

Even Lesnar's manager Paul Heyman said during the event that Lesnar is "getting on a jet to Las Vegas, where my client is ultimately appreciated".

But when Lesnar lined Rollins up for another F5 to finish the match, he was reversed.

Lesnar dominated Rollins before the match ever officially began but a well-timed low-blow from Rollins, followed by a series of "curb stomps", paved the way for the crowning of a new WWE Universal champ.

Lesnar lost the Universal Championship at Summerslam 2018 to Roman Reigns, but won it at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in September against Braun Strowman after Reigns vacated it to take care of his leukemia diagnosis.

Daniel Cormier will apparently get his big-money dream-fight as the UFC move closer to signing a fight between him and Brock Lesnar for August.

"Ha, Brock got beat up", he tweeted.

With Lesnar dropping the title to open WrestleMania, the attention now turns to his future. If the current talks pan out, he'll face off against UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier.

It was a real night for title changes in NY with the Cruiserweight title going to Tony Nese, Raw tag titles going to Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, the women's tag titles went to the Iconics, Kofi Kingston won the WWE Championship and Becky Lynch ended up with both women's singles titles.

Rollins' road to WrestleMania 35 went through winning the men's Royal Rumble match in January.
